A spotlight on our argan oil supplier

The women of the Tighanimine Cooperative, Morocco

Known for its hair and skin-supporting properties – as well as its culinary purposes – argan oil has been used in Morocco for generations. Surrounded by a profusion of Argan trees, the Tighanimine cooperative was founded in 2007 via a women’s literary class lead by Nadia El Fatmi: now-president of the cooperative and elected chair of the Fairtrade North African Board.

Organic and Fairtrade certified, we pay a premium for their argan oil, which goes on to support the cooperative’s independence and any initiatives chosen by its members (of which all 60 are women).

We love argan oil for its moisturising, hydrating and antioxidant properties. You’ll find it in our all-purpose Organic Argan Oil, Wild Rose Eye Brightener, and many of the bestsellers across our Frankincense Intense™ range.
