Kate Carfrae

I live in the ancient riverside town of Totnes.

I originally lived in Cornwall, but moved to Devon to work in Crank's whole food bakery and restaurant in the 1980s.

In the 1990's, having had two children, I worked in a family centre before working with a national children’s charity for children's mental health. During this time, I was an early campaigner for the fair trade and organic food movement.

An interest in health led to me undertake a new career sports massage. Originally qualifying in holistic massage eleven years ago, I have trained in a wide range of clinical massage styles, most recently, cancer care massage.

I am interested in the therapeutic properties of plants and I have a kitchen herb garden of my own.
